Project Overview
DevLeads is a comprehensive lead & project management system designed for smaller agencies & freelance web developers. The platform provides a complete workflow for capturing leads, managing projects, generating professional documents & analyzing business performance.
We built the application & accompanying website with the intention of providing a useful CMS & management tool for this audience, ensuring the system was intuitive, extensible & developer-friendly.
Problem
Smaller agencies & freelance web developers often struggle to find clients, track inquiries & manage projects effectively. Many existing tools were either too complex, siloed, or required juggling multiple platforms to handle lead capture, project tracking & invoicing. The goal was to create a single, self-hosted platform that would integrate all of these functions in an easy-to-use & maintainable system.
Solution
Our approach was to create a fully-integrated web application that combined lead management, project tracking, document generation & business intelligence tools into a cohesive platform.
- Application Design: We iterated on the initial concept, expanding the original smaller-scope application into a full-featured platform with robust lead management, project tracking & document generation capabilities. The system architecture & user interface were designed to be clean, modular & developer-focused, ensuring a smooth workflow from lead capture to project completion.
- Feature Development: We designed & built the application from the ground up, incorporating automated lead capture from web forms, native business lead generation, professional document creation (proposals, contracts, invoices) & analytics dashboards.
- Website Design & Build: We designed & built the public-facing website to clearly communicate the platform's value, highlight its features & provide easy access to a live demo & documentation.
- Testing & QA: We conducted extensive testing across the application & website, identifying usability improvements, verifying workflows & ensuring reliability & performance.
